Coal Phase-Out Commitment

We, Padma Textiles Ltd., have been working with one of our customers (a global brand) to understand and address our carbon emissions.

We, Padma Textiles Ltd., commit to phasing out coal for owned and contracted Tier 1 and Tier 2 manufacturing sites used for their product as soon as possible, and latest by 2030.

Scope 3 Emissions Commitment

We, Padma Textiles Ltd., have been working with one of our customers (a global brand) to understand and address our Scope 3 emissions.

We, Padma Textiles Ltd., have measured our Scope 3 Category 1 and Category 4 emissions covering their product and have set a greenhouse gas emissions reduction target for those emissions in line with version 1.2 of the SBTI Net Zero Standard, which supports the ambition of the Paris Agreement in limiting global temperature rise to 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels.

We have set a science-based target to reduce our Scope 3 Category 1 and Category 4 emissions by 42% by 2030, using 2024 as the base year.

This ambitious target underscores our commitment to decarbonizing our supply chain. We recognize that tackling climate change requires bold commitments and decisive action. Our efforts are part of a broader vision to lead by example in the textile sector and create positive environmental and social impact for generations to come.
